“Little Arapaho
Abstract”
Native men and women of the
Plains wore a small “strike-a-
light” bag on their belt with a
steel striker and flint for fire
making.
Often heavily beaded, these
essential pouches were also
art objects, in their traditional
tribal designs, but this
particular one struck me as a
bit of modern art!
